Jagger Dey was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances. Dey is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Triston Base, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
On Anderson County's side, Preston Kueser was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Zach Schaffer was another key contributor, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Baldwin now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Anderson County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 12-6 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will face off against Louisburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Anderson County, they will head out on the road to take on Rossville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
