Baseball Recap: Pilgrim Comes Up Short

If Pilgrim was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of West Warwick on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Hendricken Hawks on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Pilgrim saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Asciolla, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Pilgrim's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Bishop Hendricken, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

Pilgrim does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Hendricken, they have already played their next matchup, a 10-6 loss against Xaverian Brothers on the 25th.
