Volleyball Recap: Waunakee Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Watertown typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Waunakee proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Goslings with a sharp 3-0 win. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Goslings, too.

Waunakee never let Watertown on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Waunakee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendall Scadden out in front who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Scadden has posted over her last 14 contests. Amy Denkert was another key player, getting 17 assists and eight digs.

Waunakee's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-5. As for Watertown, their defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-2.
