The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers will head out on the road to challenge the McMichael Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartlett Yancey has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 22.

Bartlett Yancey is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Reidsville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Buccaneers were beaten by the Rams 57-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Buccaneers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 32 points the game before, McMichael was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 60-0 loss at the hands of Walkertown. The Phoenix have struggled against the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

McMichael's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bartlett Yancey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Bartlett Yancey couldn't quite finish off McMichael in their previous matchup back in August of 2022 and fell 40-38. Thankfully for the Buccaneers, Jayden Moore (who rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
