Basketball Game Preview: John Hay vs. North Rangers

John Hay will head out to face off against the North Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. John Hay's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so North's offense will have their work cut out for them.

John Hay is headed into Thursday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They came up short against Chardon on Monday, falling 43-23. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss John Hay has suffered since January 16th.

Despite the defeat, John Hay saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordyn Webb dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Webb has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 16 times she's played. Anaiyah General was another key player, putting up five points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, North strolled past West Geauga with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 41-27.

North has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for John Hay, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.
