Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McDaniel). They blew past the Springfield Millers 24-1 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mountain Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

McDaniel's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Springfield, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDaniel will challenge Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Mountain Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Springfield, they will square off against Eagle Point at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
