Volleyball Recap: Guerin Catholic Comes Up Short

Guerin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Westfield Shamrocks. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Shamrocks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westfield can attribute much of their success to Graham Weddige, who had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Weddige has posted since April 3rd. Aidyn Kuzma also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Guerin Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Westfield, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Guerin Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on the 29th. As for Westfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Cathedral on the 29th.
