Softball Game Preview: Pavilion Golden Gophers vs. Keshequa Indians

Pavilion hasn't had much luck against Keshequa recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Gophers will challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Pavilion has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pavilion will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Wednesday, then bounced right back against Perry on Tuesday. The Golden Gophers blew past the Yellowjackets 20-14. The Golden Gophers haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Keshequa entered their contest against Avoca Central on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Indians took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Pavilion's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Keshequa, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Pavilion might still be hurting after the 13-5 loss they got from Keshequa in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Golden Gophers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
