Soccer Recap: Forney Picks Up 20th Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Forney walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Harker Heights Knights on Tuesday. Considering Forney have won 15 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Harker Heights from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Addison E. Smith led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The victory (which was Forney's 20th in a row) raised their record to 21-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 116 goals over those 20 contests. As for Harker Heights, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6-2.

Forney wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Tomball on the 28th. Harker Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
