The Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots will face off against the Alice Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Lucian Cruz and Calvin Harris. Cruz had a great game and rushed for 157 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Harris was balling out in the loss, throwing for 379 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Alice was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Alice wouldn't let Sharyland keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Landen Brunston was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. Another thorn in Sharyland's side was Hayden Trejo, who picked up a sack, made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass.

Mission Veterans Memorial dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Alice, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
