Volleyball Recap: Wellsboro Wins Going Away Against Sayre

Wellsboro won the last time they faced Sayre and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hornets blew past the Redskins 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Wellsboro never let Sayre on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 26-24.

Maddy Cruttenden was the offensive standout of the contest as she had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Wellsboro's record is now 2-0. As for Sayre, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wellsboro will face off against rival South Williamsport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sayre is set to take on their familiar foe Northeast Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
