Soccer Recap: Ar-We-Va Takes a Loss

Ar-We-Va was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the North Polk Comets, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Ar-We-Va can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while North Polk are ranked 17th).

Ar-We-Va's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for North Polk, they pushed their record up to 15-3-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Ar-We-Va will square off against Atlantic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ar-We-Va will be up against Atlantic's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Polk, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, an 11-0 win against Carroll on the 13th.
