Baseball Recap: Fairmont Gets the Win

Fairmont won the last time they faced Dillon Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Tornadoes came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Tornadoes.

Parker Chavis was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases and one run. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Geru Gaddy, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Fairmont's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Dillon Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairmont will square off against Lake View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dillon Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Conway Christian at 6:30 p.m. on the 26th.
