ALA - Queen Creek hasn't had much luck against Poston Butte recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Patriots will square off against the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. ALA - Queen Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Last Saturday, ALA - Queen Creek came up short against Flagstaff and fell 7-4.

Brasser Crumpton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Pablo Altamirano, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Poston Butte posted their closest win since March 11th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Coconino 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Damian Serrano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matthew Brizuela, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Cordd Baker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Poston Butte's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 18-2.

Poston Butte's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. ALA - Queen Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Poston Butte, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will ALA - Queen Creek keep running through batters, or will the Broncos buck the trend?

ALA - Queen Creek might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Poston Butte when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
