Baseball Recap: A.J. Ellender Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

A.J. Ellender's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Springfield Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout.

Not much got past Kadyn Guidry, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Springfield off the board. Guidry also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because A.J. Ellender is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-11 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Branson Landry, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

A.J. Ellender's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
