Basketball Recap: First Philadelphia Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against Philadelphia Electric Charter last Tuesday, First Philadelphia Prep came back down to earth. First Philadelphia Prep came up short against the Prep Charter Huskies on Thursday, falling 76-51.

Despite the loss, First Philadelphia Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Namir Smith posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell Edwards, who put up 12 points.

First Philadelphia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Prep Charter, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

First Philadelphia Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-41 victory against Nueva Esperanza on the 10th. Prep Charter has also already played their next contest, a 72-67 loss against Kensington on the 10th.
