Basketball Game Preview: York Country Day vs. Shalom Christian Academy Flames

York Country Day will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Shalom Christian Academy Flames at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

York Country Day is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Harrisburg Academy 117-32. York Country Day's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

York Country Day can attribute much of their success to Ryan Maus, who posted 24 points, and Beckett Barr, who put up 20 points. With that strong performance, Maus is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Johnson Ilonga, who posted 16 points.

Meanwhile, Shalom Christian Academy beat Mountain Ridge 57-45 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Flames.

Shalom Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for York Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
