Volleyball Recap: Spring Lake Park Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spring Lake Park entered their tilt with Champlin Park on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rebels. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

Spring Lake Park had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-15, 25-13, 25-22.

Remi Xiong paced Spring Lake Park's offense, picking up 17 kills. Xiong got some help from Hector Ly and his 25 assists. Xiong was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Spring Lake Park pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Champlin Park, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
