Baseball Recap: Westminster Catawba Christian Takes a Loss

Westminster Catawba Christian was the 9-1 winner over Gaston Day when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 5-2 to the Spartans on Tuesday.

Westminster Catawba Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Minarik, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Westminster Catawba Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. Gaston Day's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8.

Coming up, Westminster Catawba Christian will host SouthLake Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gaston Day, they are taking a road trip to take on Hickory Grove Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
