It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lipscomb Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Baylor Red Raiders 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs who have now won five contests in a row.
Lipscomb Academy took Baylor into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-11, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.
Mary Katherine Hall was her usual excellent self, getting 27 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
Lipscomb Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Baylor, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-5.
