Volleyball Recap: Redan Comes Up Short

Redan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miller Grove Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9.

Miller Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Black, who had six aces. That's the most aces Black has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Mcneill, who had four aces.

Redan's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Miller Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Redan and Miller Grove will both be playing Salem the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Seminoles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
