Liberty Hill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 60-52 victory over the Montgomery Bears. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Bears are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Montgomery, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.

Liberty Hill will take on Salado in a tournament on Saturday. Montgomery and Canyon Lake will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
