Basketball Game Preview: Everett Alvarez Eagles vs. Pacific Grove Breakers

The Everett Alvarez Eagles will head out to face off against the Pacific Grove Breakers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Everett Alvarez came up short against Palma and fell 52-45. The Eagles have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Pacific Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 51-35 bruising from Carmel.

Everett Alvarez will need focus on slowing down Gabriel Valencia, one of several Pacific Grove players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Nimri, who posted 11 points.

Pacific Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Everett Alvarez, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
