Volleyball Recap: Magnolia Science Academy Carson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Magnolia Science Academy Carson had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the TEACH Tech Charter Rams as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Magnolia Science Academy Carson was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-12.

Magnolia Science Academy Carson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but ANNALYN ARREOLA led the charge by getting seven aces. What's more, ARREOLA posted three kills, the most she's had since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of SAMAIYAH BROWN, who had eight aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Magnolia Science Academy Carson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 36 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in six consecutive matches.

Magnolia Science Academy Carson now has a winning record of 5-4. As for TEACH Tech Charter, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Magnolia Science Academy Carson will challenge Brio College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. TEACH Tech Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
