Baseball Recap: Mcadory Has No Trouble Against Pleasant Grove

McAdory had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Pleasant Grove Spartans with a sharp 17-2 win on Friday. The match marked the Yellowjackets' most dominant victory of the season.

Aaron Bailey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Genesis Ware was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Brandon Heard, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

McAdory hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Grove struck out 14 times.

McAdory's record is now 10-8. As for Pleasant Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McAdory will challenge Northridge at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will face off against Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
