Basketball Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

DeSoto suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 86-54 loss at the hands of the Cedar Hill Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 23rd).

DeSoto's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Cedar Hill, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

DeSoto will venture away from home to square off against Skyline at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Hill, they will face off against Horn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
