Basketball Recap: Loogootee Skates Past Shoals with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loogootee). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-15 win over the Shoals Jug Rox. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Jug Rox: they've now won four in a row.

Leading Loogootee to victory were Alaina Diamond and Lydia Hawkins. Diamond dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Hawkins shot 67% from the field on her way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The contest was Diamond's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Ava Jeffers was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

Loogootee was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
