Soccer Game Preview: Piketon vs. Peebles

The Piketon Redstreaks will face off against the Peebles Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piketon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Piketon turned things around against Zane Trace on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Piketon's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peebles). They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington last Wednesday. Peebles haven't had any issues with Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Peebles now has a winning record of 6-5. With that draw, Piketon's record moves to 2-10-1.
