Briar Woods scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 76-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverside Ram. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Falcons still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Briar Woods lost, don't look at Devon Pettibone. Despite the final result, he shot 6-for-9 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. Briar Woods' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Riverside, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
Briar Woods wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-51 loss against Jefferson on the 14th. As for Riverside, they will venture away from home to challenge Potomac Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
