Rhodes strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on John Hay with a sharp 15-1 victory. Considering the Rams have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cesar Rios made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Roberto Benitez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season. Luis Vasquez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Rhodes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .541 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Rhodes' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for John Hay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
