Springfield Southeast managed to keep up with Canton until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans came up short against the Little Giants, falling 4-1. Springfield Southeast just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Springfield Southeast's record now sits at 3-18-2. As for Canton, with the win, they broke their ten-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Springfield Southeast will head out on the road to challenge Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canton, they will take on Macomb at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Canton will be up against Macomb's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
