Basketball Recap: Colonial Christian Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Archbishop Carroll two weeks ago, Colonial Christian came back down to earth. The Colonial Christian Patriots fell 42-34 to the Mater Bay Academy Rays on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that the Patriots let down their fans at home.

Mater Bay Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Victoria Josephs out in front who posted 22 points. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Josephs has scored at least a third of Mater Bay Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Harris, who had 12 points.

Colonial Christian's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5. As for Mater Bay Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Colonial Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 105-7 defeat against Schoolhouse Prep on the 4th. Mater Bay Academy has also already played their next match, a 52-42 loss against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on the 30th.
