Basketball Recap: Melrose Comes Up Short

Melrose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 63-45 to the Power Center Academy Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Wildcats of the 57-54 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Melrose's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Power Center Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Melrose will venture away from home to take on Wooddale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Power Center Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
