Football Game Preview: Mineral County vs. Round Mountain

Round Mountain may have come out ahead in their last matchup, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they take on Mineral County at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game.

After a disappointing 8 points in the contest before, Round Mountain made sure to put some points up on the board against Pyramid Lake last Friday. Round Mountain steamrollered Pyramid Lake 50-14. Junior Diego Rodriguez, who rushed for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Round Mountain's success.

Mineral County were gifted an easy victory as Excel Christian wound up forfeiting 0-2.

Their wins bumped Round Mountain to 2-3 and Mineral County to 2-2. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Mineral County better be ready for a battle.
