Softball Recap: Natchez Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Natchez's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Port Gibson Blue Waves 17-2. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than 11 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Natchez's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Port Gibson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Natchez will head out to take on North Pike at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Port Gibson, they will square off against Raymond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Port Gibson has given up an average of 18.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
