Football Game Preview: Watts Engineers vs. Welch Wildcats

The Watts Engineers will face off against the Welch Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Watts and three for Welch.

Watts' offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Bluejacket on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 50-0 to the Chieftains, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Welch played a tough game two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Medford and fell 62-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Watts' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Welch, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Watts was dealt a bruising 44-6 loss at the hands of Welch in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Engineers were down 30-6.
