They and the Tritons finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Yellowjackets happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, Rio Mesa narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Dos Pueblos 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Chargers are ranked 151st).

Rio Mesa hit Dos Pueblos with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rodrigo Ambriz, David Marmolejo, and Aiden Gonzalez.

With that draw, Oxnard's record moves to 12-4-4. As for Rio Mesa, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Oxnard took their win against Rio Mesa in their previous matchup on January 9th by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oxnard since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
