Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson City). They managed a 70-66 win over the Boonville Pirates on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Jays as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Jefferson City's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Boonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Jefferson City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-48 loss against Helias on the 28th. Boonville has also already played their next contest, a 54-53 defeat against Notre Dame de Sion on the 28th.
