On Thursday, Thornton Academy faced Noble in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Thornton Academy Trojans came up short against the Noble Knights, falling 73-53. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Thornton Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Noble, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Thornton Academy will host Edward Little at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Noble, they will challenge Gray-New Gloucester at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
