Basketball Recap: Halifax Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Halifax Academy can now relate to. They were beaten by the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs 75-44 on Wednesday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Mount Dora Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Priest out in front who went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Deininger, who went 6 of 13 en route to 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Halifax Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-9.

Halifax Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will take on Trinity Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mount Dora Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games.
