St. Augustine extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 10-9. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seabreeze Sandcrabs, sneaking past 4-2. That's two games straight that the Yellow Jackets have won by exactly two runs.

Brayden Kirk spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, St. Augustine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddux Dowler, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Seabreeze, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since February 13th.

On Seabreeze's side, Dallas Newkirk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Looking ahead, St. Augustine will look to defend their home field on Friday against Menendez at 7:00 p.m. As for Seabreeze, they are taking a road trip to square off against Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Sandcrabs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
