Basketball Game Preview: Norwell Knights vs. New Haven Bulldogs

The Norwell Knights will head out on the road to challenge the New Haven Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Norwell was able to grind out a solid win over Bellmont, taking the game 55-42. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Braves are ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, New Haven beat Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 54-43 on Wednesday.

The victory got New Haven back to even at 8-8. As for Norwell, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Norwell won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, slipping by New Haven 50-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norwell since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
