Baseball Recap: Saint Jeanne De Lestonnac Catholic School Extends Winning Streak to Three

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-4 on April 1st.

Luke Ludwig was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Bender, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Brandon Vera also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

The Conquerors are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
