Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove Takes a Loss

Oak Grove extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 3-0 to the Cordova Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

As for Cordova, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Cordova's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lexee King led the charge by getting 21 assists and three aces. Those three aces gave King a new career-high. Mia Vance was another key player, getting seven aces.

Coming up, Oak Grove will head out on the road to challenge Indian Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cordova, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hamilton at 5:30 p.m.
