Soccer Recap: Eugene Has No Trouble Against La Monte

Eugene barely beat La Monte the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eugene also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Eugene is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four matchups. As for La Monte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Eugene didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 win against Sacred Heart on the 28th. As for La Monte, they will venture away from home to take on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
