While Splendora didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Ball Tornadoes by a score of 8-3 on Friday.

Colby Jones made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Jones was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Wyatt Sepanio was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ricks, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Splendora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

As for Ball, they will be taking part in a tournament against Clear Brook at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
