Basketball Game Preview: White Station Spartans vs. Memphis Central Warriors

White Station and Memphis Central are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The White Station Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Memphis Central Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. White Station is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.

White Station is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 66-52 bruising from Memphis East.

White Station's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Amare Boothe, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 20 points, and Kyndall Reynolds, who went 8 for 16 en route to 18 points and three steals. Boothe's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Lily Pruitt was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Memphis Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 49-35 to Overton.

White Station's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Memphis Central, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

White Station came up short against Memphis Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 44-40. Can White Station avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
