Football Recap: Antonian Prep Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Antonian Prep won the last time they faced Navarro and things went their way on Friday too. The Apaches blew past the Panthers 66-43. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Apaches' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Panthers are ranked 554th).

Rogan Parson had an outrageously good game as he threw for 456 yards and seven TDs while completing 77.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, he racked up 158 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Topper Sterling, who rushed for 165 yards and two scores.

Antonian Prep's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 23.4 points thus far. As for Navarro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Antonian Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Navarro, they will head out to square off against Canyon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
