Baseball Recap: Crossroads Comes Up Short

Crossroads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bishop DuBourg Cavaliers, falling 18-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Current of the 19-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2015.

Crossroads' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bishop DuBourg, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crossroads will venture away from home to face off against Hancock at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Current will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bishop DuBourg, they will face off against Crystal City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
