Softball Recap: Mintz Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Columbus Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mintz Christian Academy). Everything went their way against the Columbus Christian Academy Pacers on Thursday as they made off with a 27-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Pacers: they've now won eight in a row.

Jenny Hobbs and Sadie Parrish did most of the damage at the plate: Hobbs scored four runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances, while Parrish scored three runs while going 1-for-4. Those four runs gave Hobbs a new career-high. Avery Phillips was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Mintz Christian Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Columbus Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Mintz Christian Academy will welcome Christ the Cornerstone Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbus Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
